Teachonline.ca Presents: How to Use a Lightboard and OBS Studio to Effectively Teach Online

Using a lightboard is one of the best ways to engage your students in interactive presentations, according to scores of instructors, teachers, professors, and business coaches.

That’s right, laptops, desktops, tablets, along with the ‘same-old-same-old’ power-points just are not “making the grade” anymore for students and learners at all levels.

When the global pandemic took its grip on the world, The LightBoard Depot Inc. became extremely popular, and it took remote teaching and learning to a whole new level.

And, as we enter a new normal, one thing is remains certain: course delivery will now be a hybrid of in-class and remote learning.

Those who want to learn more about The LightBoard Depot Inc., developed by a team of innovators in Hamilton just a few years ago, then mark March 3, 2022 – 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (EST) – in your calendar!

Teachonline.ca, which supports rural and remote Ontario, will host a webinar with Michael D. Justason, Assistant Professor at McMaster University. He is one of the co-founders of The LightBoard Depot Inc.

The LightBoard Depot Inc. is a framed glass illuminated with LED lights. You stand behind the glass, writing notes, teaching concepts, drawing diagrams, solving equations and problem-solving using florescent whiteboard markers. When combined with OBS Studio (a free and open-source software for mixing media) you can add in your PowerPoint slides to create an engaging, interactive learning experience for online learners.

Justason’s webinar will show users how to setup the technology at home and how to use it effectively.
